The Amphenol USB Field system enables the use of standard USB 2.0 connections in harsh environments. It offers robust protection against fluids and dust (IP67 rated), and is resistant to shock, vibration, and traction. The system eliminates the need for in-field cabling operations and tools, featuring mechanical coding/polarization for reliable connections. With improved EMI protection, it transforms standard USB cordsets into rugged connectors suitable for demanding applications such as embedded computers and data acquisition in railways, battlefield communication systems, and navy systems.
